Hives Attack 2009!

Been struck by this mysterious skin allergy over the weekend!
And after seeing 3 doctors, it still comes back!
OMG!
I am super frustrated, waking up everyday to a itching body and seeing red spots appearing on parts of my hands, arms, feet, thighs, calves, back, tummy and even my palms! Luckily, they are not present on the face.
There was this one night when it spreaded to the neck!

I am really worried about what is causing this. No whatsoever reason and the doctors can only tell me, it's hives. I know...but what is causing it!!!
Is it my sheets? Is it the detergent?
What the hell is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arghhh!!!!!

All my dates had to be cancelled over the weekend and even until the next week, because I dunno when it will stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I had it, I took a job and it was gone. Forever. Until like last Thurs. And then it doesnt stop, even after a jab, 2 bottles of calamine lotion, 6 types of med!

Haiz....This is bad. The dermatologist said this is very bad. Very stubborn hives. What to do but to bathe myself in this plant that daddy got for me(it does help with the itch abit), apply the med everyday, eat my med dutifully and hope for the best.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and it suddenly came to my realisation that most of the time, the relationship of 2 persons that understand and love each other deeply dont blossom...
There are just too many instances that prove this theory.

The fact that you love, that's why you treasure it more than anything.
The fact that you treasure, that's why you do your best to protect.
The more you protect, the more pressurizing it gets.
When pressure builds up, you take steps back.
You get into another comfort zone.
You feel at ease.
You find new meanings in life.
You build relationships with other pple.
You slowly forget..
And they slowly become beautiful memories...
It's a pity...but it's inevitable.
It withers.

The fact that you understand, you tend to keep quiet because you seem to know everthing.
The silence leads to assumptions that things are the way you see them.
The assumptions creates a glass wall and it gets thicker as assumptions build up.
When assumptions build up and remain unclear, awkwardness sets in.
You feel awkward to talk.
You feel invasive if you ask a lot qns.
You dont ask.
You feel drifted.
And again, they become memories.
It becomes history.

Is that where we are heading?

Drifting apart

What's the best way to find out if you have drifted apart?
Probably when you no longer care about what the other party is doing.
Probably when you no longer want to depend on the other party.
Probably when you no longer see the need to explain anything.
Probably when the your life no longer revolves around the things that were given to you by the other party.

But these are all probably.
What are the exact signs?
I also dunno.
These are all my assumptions.
And I dun like to assume.
Assumptions may lead misunderstandings.
Misunderstanding is one of the fundamental of friendship breakdown.
There is no guarantee that time will help.

There are many reasons why pple drift apart.

Nobody knows the exact reason why this happens.
But you will know how you feel and what makes you want to back off.

I am ever ready to listen to anything that anybody wants to say.
However, if nobody wants to say anything, then I am left with no choice but to follow.

Sometimes I think...When nobody wants to listen to you, is it because you are not treasured or not impt to that person.
If so, why sould I get so upset over the fact that I want to tell you things and you do not want to listen.

Whatever it is, our non verbal language are not helping the friendship at all.
And they are making me very uncomfortable.
I dunno if they are doing the same to you.

The thing is I DUNNO WHAT YOU ARE THINKING and thus I dunno how to react.

If we are both suffocating in this friendship..
Then what is the next step that we should do?
Kill it?
Salvage it?

With you, my option is always the latter.
My direction has always been clear.

Day 5 - Perth Sept 2009

The last day!
A super rushing day, coz we had to return the car by 5pm and we were 300+ km away from Perth city!
A peek at our cabin! Nice nice!

We had to rush back to Rockingham to catch the ferry to see the dolphins(intended to) and then to Penguin Island too!
Hence, we only stopped by Bunbury (Yes, we got it this time!Not some ulu place)for a toilet break. At first, we couldnt get the Visitor's Centre, but after stopping by so many Visitor's Centre, I concluded that it should be somewhere near the waters..And TADAH..We found it!

Pictures taken to show that we really did reach Bunbury! And yes, that one of pig sleeping...I volunteered to take the first league as Pig will always fall asleep after driving for a short while in the morning...Hahaha...
And this time, Shuang took the 100km OLD COAST ROAD drive! And being a good fren, I accompanied her by singing songs with her on the way...Keeping her awake!

And at 1230, we reached Rockingham's Wild Encounters! BUT! There was no more dolphin's ferries..Saddens...so only can go see the penguins on the 1pm ferry...

Oh, Pig took a very nice set of me and Shuang getting frightened by the seagulls.Coz they were pretty unstable of where they gonna land, wind was super strong...AND they shit in mid air!

After an hour of torture by the seagulls and pelicans, we went to see the feeding of the penguins, then set off back to the main island to vroom back to the city!
FINALLY...

Just to mention how come there are 4 collages for this short Penguin Island trip.
The night before, I was browsing through my photos on my cam. It had about 1.1k pictures. When I came back and loaded everything onto my computer, there was 1.6k pictures! OMG. That's at least 400 pictures of birds! Now you all know why I am disgusted by the pelicans and seagulls. HAHAHAHAHA. Took a long time for me to delete the birdies' pictures! OMG...

Managed to return the car by 5pm(got abit stuck in the CBD area) and then we had another car! So we drove to the Bell Tower, in hope of getting the souvenir coin, but it was closed! Saddens!
Saw some carnival though,organised by the Leukemia Foundation.

Afterward, we drove up to King's Park to rest for a while before heading to the airport and then HOME SWEET HOME!

Oh, just to explain why there are so many pictures of me and Princess? Coz I threw Princess away in Perth!The one that has been with me through my JC days! Gone!
And dont you think Shuang just looks like she is drinking from some oil tank or wat?
Hahahahaha

Anyway, this ends my short and 'good break from work' and the Ultimate Lamerz Trip 2009!

Day 3 and 4 - Perth Sept 2009

Vroom vroom to Margaret River!

The naps, the GPS, the photos...Good enough to dedicate one collage for it...Hahaha...

We've passed by Rockingham,Mandurah,Capel,Busselton, Cape Naturaliste and finally, Magaret River!

Rockingham - We set off a day too early and thus cant get to go to penguin Island as it was still closed for the season! Saddens! No dolphins too! But we took with the fako one..hahaha..Had a sumptuous breakfast at one of the cafe though...And this pig felt sleepy after breakfast, that she couldnt tahan the drive to Mandurah and had to stop on the expressway and let me drive...Hahahaha....

Mandurah - Me and shuang were spending quite abit of time taking pictures here and there, while Pig was busy sleeping in the car! Oh, and we were super fascinated by one pelican that we saw and just couldnt stop taking pictures with it...Little did we know we would be disgusted by the pelicans soon enough...Will elaborate more in the next entry...Hurhur..SUSPENSE!

Capel - We were supposed to go to the Bunbury Visitor Centre..But the GPS brought us to Capel, and we took a break at this super ulu, out of nowhere cafe..But nonetheless, pig still bought sth from there! And I was only supposed to drive the 100km from Mandurah to Bunbury, who knows, Capel is about 20km more! So by the time we reached Capel, I was super ready to slp at the backseat! Hahaah....

Busselton and Cape Naturaliste - We only stopped by Busselton so that we could find the way to Cape Naturaliste, coz the stupid GPS didnt have it!!! Hahahaha...Talking about Cape Naturaliste, just when we tot we reached...NOOOOOOOOOO...It was a freaking long drive in to the lighthouse!!! And upon reaching the carpark, there was still a 20min walk to the lighthouse itself...so the lazy us decided to take pictures from afar and of course, sun was setting, so had to leave asap and vroom to MR.

FINALLYYYYY!!! Riverview Tourist Park...Niceeeeee

Piggy made dinner for us..But I couldnt finish it...Sorriieeeeeee....
Oh yes, above is my version...But Shuang came over yesterday and said that she dont like the picture with her showing her LONG and sexy legs(weet weet)...so she made another one...

Rest and Relaxxxxxxxx

Cukoooo Cukoooo(7am)
Took a quick drive to Cape Leeuwin...Coz our schedule was super packed for the day, so we decided to set off early...little did we know that we were TOOOOOO early...So we spent about an hour waiting for the staff to reach Cape Leeuwin...In the meantime, we took pictures, tested our limits with the wind...Hahaha...Oh yes, a little background about Cape Leeuwin..It is the tallest lighthouse in the South Western Aussie region and it is the place where 2 oceans meet, namely the Indian and Southern Ocean. And after the morning of braving the storm, Indian Ocean wins by constantly bringing winds of super high speed and doing free styling for my hair!!!! Hahahahaha

We took so many pictures that I had to put it into 2 collages!
Hahahaha..Afterall, we spent some money and energy climbing up the lighthouse!!!!
Look at the 2 fellas hiding behind the car to shield themselves from the winds of Indian Ocean!
Again, Shuang's version...

Afterward, we proceeded to the caves...
Starting off, we have the Jewel Cave! In my opinion, the nicest of all. And that's when Pig realised that she was afraid of caves...When she was walking in front, she asked me if I was behind her..Dont worry...I will get your back..Hurhur...

Next, Lake Cave! It was pretty small after seeing Jewel Cave...Haha...but it was nice too, coz it had its own lighting show! NIceee...but too difficult to talk pictures, coz too dark liao....

Oh, there was this caveworks exhibition and me and Shuang went to try cave crawling...Super hard, but we had a great time!!! Too bad Pig was in skirt...EHH...SKIRTS IN SPRING? Yes, she did tremble a lot during the trip! Hahahaha

Finally, Mammoth Cave. This was the cave without a guide and we had to listen to some MP3 and then walk as the 'stones' were explained to us. Again, Pig felt scared, because this cave was super quiet...Only had us! And pig was super worried that we would get lost. Apparently, they have sensors that can detect which part of the cave you are in and then they will light up the stones for you..but sometimes, there is some lag time...and this Pig will get scared coz it was dark! Haha...But we just simply walked through...nth much to see anw, after seeing 2 caves liao...

And we ended off the day with visits to XANADU Winery! Nice niceeeeeee...Also took a drive to Watershed, but din take any pictures...coz too many cooks spoil the soup. Similarly, too many wineries spoil the wine! Hahahahaha...

That's all! Next entry would be our last day in Perth!

Day Two -- Perth Sept 2009

Off we go to collect our car from Bayswater and ending the long walks we had over the previous day! Yay!
Then we began our drive to Caversham Wildlife Park, where Shuang was yearning to see the kangeroos and the koalas!

Oh before that, we had a relaxing brunch at Whiteman Park...Born freeeeeee...as free as the wind blowssss...

And then it was the Roos and the bearssss..and after seeing so many roos...Shuang was more interested in the Japanese little girl more than the roos and she was like.."Quick! Take a picture of her..see see see...so cuteeee!"

After Caversham, we then drove to the Margaret River Choc Factory to take a look, so that we could have more time to do other things in Margaret River...Abit confusing...but yup, the one that we went to was the branch in Swan Valley...

And we had to rush down to Fremantle to at least walk at the market and phew! Lucky we made it! Dinner was Fish and Chips at Kailis' Fish Market..Erm..abit over-rated though...

We also popped by Little Creatures to grab some beer...Not for me though...Hahahaha...

Oh just a side track, Twinkle baby was so cute that day. While they were out, a group of girls passed by us and they were exclaiming how cute Twinkle and Elmo was and Twinkle(who was in my arms) stretched over to attempt to kiss them. If you guys know my Twinkle well, you should rmb that she loves to lick(I like to say it as KISS...hahaha). But that day she didnt. She stretched over and then quickly turned away...HAHAHA... So was it the smell? God knowwwssss...hahahahahaha..But it was cute lah...but maybe she was unfamiliar with the smell. Different race maybe.

ULT - Perth Sept 2009

The Ultimate Lamerz Trip, too bad we missed out the Pres and Ying Jie..
But it's okay...it was still fun nevertheless.

Woke up at about 0830 the next day...Time to go shopping and exploring the city!

And I love that theme picture. Fantastic feel created with sepia. Arghh..AGAIN.

And on the way, we passed by London Court, which is basically a very English place, as the name suggests and we decided to have breakfast in the English cafe! Yummy!

This was also where Pig complained about us not being able to take candid shots of her and she was happily taking clear and graceful candid shots of us. And I taught her about the idea of 顿, which is holding an action for a moment so that pple can take 'candid' looking shots of you.
Practise that with your friends!
Candid shots are never a headache again once you master the art of 顿.

Afterward, we met Ben at Harbour Town and he brought us to this fabulous Italian place that serves fabulous pasta, but the pizza was so-so..maybe I didnt enjoy the pizza coz the pasta was SUPER FILLING.

By the way, if you cant see, the place is CIAO ITALIA. SUPERB.

Following dinner was a night tour to King's Park, his school, Northbridge(where I had a terrible tummyache suddenly).

Oh yes, the kuku pictures of us with messy hair were taken at the DNA tower in King's Park. Super shiok, but we were freezing!!!!
And sorry, no tripod, so dont have super sharp night shots and hence, they are resized to such pixels to look perfect.
Hahahaha....

And you just continue telling 'C','D','E' because you still havent got the chance to tell 'A'.

And again because of some misunderstandings and unpleasant feelings, the distance just got further and further.

I just thought of something that one of my friend said...
And this sentence is enough to prove some things that are bothering me now.

It was my JC chalet.
We had planned to celebrate one fren's bdae.
And I was close to the birthday giel and thus was appointed to bring her away from the chalet so that other frens could prepare the stuffs.
But the birthday girl was watching her regular 7pm serial.
I had to drag her out and she was reluctant. I forgot how I managed to convince her to take a walk to the reception with me to wait for some 'fren' whom I know will not be coming until later, but she didnt...

So after we loitered ard for 20mins, I brought her back to the chalet and we celebrated her bdae.

That night, she came and talked to me.
She said she wasnt very surprised, because she had expected something to happen the moment I tried to drag her out.

I asked why.
She answered that I was acting very strangely, making her do things that she didnt want to. And I only do this when I have really good reasons.

I smiled.

Emotions caught the better of me.

I am sad because I just realised that for the past few years, I had been deceiving myself. I always thought that we have not drifted apart,only to find out yesterday that we are worlds apart.

I am sad because I realised that I have been so selfish...thinking that pple would like surprises and things would go the way I had expected them to be, but when they dont, I get upset with them. And it's not even their fault, because they are not aware of the surprise.

I am sad because I think that the good will be rewarded, and I just realised that this is nvr the case.I get upset when something has been planned and in the end, only to realise that no time has been allocated for it, only to realise that pple are not obliged to allocate time for you coz they have their own priorities.

I am sad because I feel I had just lost someone that I had been so comfortable with, someone that I felt can share all my thoughts with.

I am sad because I thought so much and all of them turn out to be wrong...And I cant change the way I am built to think.

Maybe Missy was right....
I think too much...but is it for my own good?
But I cant help not thinking.

Maybe Jiewen was also right...
I always have problems...I might be the only problem, not other pple.

Maybe Theresa is right...
We are all too planned to be spontaneous again.

We go out with some friends..we never ask some other friends along.
I know I sometimes commit this to some particular friends...
I know I come up with excuse sometimes to get past it.
Why an excuse?

2 different groups of friends may not click.
Unless you want me to tell the real reason, I guess most pple are more comfortable with an excuse..or maybe not...

I just got one of this excuse from a friend of mine.
I was abit pissed, to be honest.
However, as I think about it...I dont want to blame this friend.
I just feel sad.
I dont think I cannot talk to that other friend. I dont think I dislike the other friend.But maybe it's just my assumption.

Maybe we've just assumed too much.

Twinkle is such a smartie...
As most of the peeps know...I lock my baobei-s in the kitchen whenever I go out, coz Mr Elmo will start peeing ard the house, marking territory(that's why i am thinking of sterilizing him, but nvr really putting serious thoughts into it) and Twinkle will start drinking wtaer from the altar...

It had been fine all this while...
Until one day...I realised she had ran out of the kitchen with all the fences being ALMOST intact...

SO it took me quite a while to figure out how she actually ran out...
Apparently this girl took a long time to figure out that....

SHE CAN SQUEEZE THROUGH THE BACK OF THE REFRIGERATOR AND THEN COME OUT THROUGH THE FENCE!

Super smart, aint she....
Now I have to put the human intelligence to greater use and outsmart my smartie...
hahahaha

The days gone by...

It has been a long time since I last stepped into the Post Office.

I rmb I used to sell things over YahOo auctions and I will go there to post the stuffs. I also rmb going to the PO to buy Postpac boxes to wrap odd shaped gifts for my friends. And the last time I stepped into the PO, I was there with 100 envelopes, 100 sheets of survey form and 100 stamps...

But I went to the PO with rong today.
Those did not come to my mind.
What came to my mind was how my parents actually had to go queue, ask how to send 14kg of stuffs to me in Oslo.

Although my mum managed to get the postman to collect it at our house,the thought of them going to the PO for me is still very comforting.
That was the time I really really missed home.
That was the time I really knew how fortunate I had been all these years.
That was the time I really realised how much I love them and enjoyed their company.

When I received the box, I called it the Box of Love.
It had the smell of my house.
My mum sent me curtains, she sent me my Princess, she sent me lemon puffs, canned food...so many many things I took for granted in Singapore.
And I rmb pple coming up to my room to see the Box of Love.
And it made me realise how well my mum knows me and how well I know her.
How I like my things to be packed and how she packs her things.
It just makes us rmb all the fundamentals of our kinship.
And it just made me love them more than ever.

In fact, we would go to anybody's room whenever their parents send them Boxes of Love.
I rmb Breadie's mummy sending her 2 boxes....
That was sooooo sweetttt...........

I do not hope to see you taking the same route that you took 5 years ago.
But that can be forgiven, because you were young and that was the way you thought would be the correct way to react.
However, now that you've been through it, you should know that is not the way.

It was a short one, and I guessed you have enjoyed it very much.
But what to do when you have reached this stage.
If you dont see the progression, maybe it's time to think through again.
What you thought to be true in the beginning may not be true at the end.

If things turn out a certain way, it must have its own reasons.
And there are so many factors and reasons involved.
Dont bother thinking about it unless you are told.

Maybe you should consider taking a step back and look at it objectively.

Missy and I would sms each other to inform that we would be very late for lectures or tutorials..and then the reply would be sth like:

It's getting emotionally draining these days.
I think about many things...things that I shouldnt be tied down with at this time in the night, but as I look at it, I cant help but think, I can be so transparent.

Who actually sees me?
Who cares?

I feel so minute sometimes.
Like you feel part of something, but yet that thing dont belong to you.

It's like gatherings, you go for gatherings only to be there for the sake of being there.
Many a times, I look forward to gatherings, but gatherings usually dont turn out how I hope they would be.

Maybe I am the kind that likes to call alot of pple for gatherings (afterall, what's a gathering without pple), but I dont mingle well in huge groups.

Maybe Elaine and me are similar in this way. Heee...
Perhaps that's why Lamerz has always stayed the size it is.
Perhaps that's why I have so much feelings about recent gatherings.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps....

Well,I think I did mention about this topic about 2 years ago...and I almost forgotten about it until I really sat down and reflected on the recent happenings and the new pple that I meet at work and the older friends after we have all started work.

Disclosure.
It's like a balance.
When you put weights on one side, you need to put weights on the other side before it is balanced.
In any relationship,you need both parties to put yourself out there...
There's no point in one talking alot, about their own feelings and the other person listening and not giving their inputs...
It's not about fairness, it's about sharing and letting the other person know how you feel about the topic that he/she is talking about.
Well, at least this is what I think.

Everyone wants to know that what they are saying is being accepted by at least one person. They want to know that their input is valuable. They want to know that they are worth something.

I love talking to pple who loves to share.
I love talking about deep topics.
Probably that's why I am quiet at huge grp gatherings...

I really felt much better when the 3 of us stayed for awhile to talk more.
That was a much better experience than mingling ard, in fact...

From disappointment to anger to losing faith...
Because it just seems to be getting more distant. So distant that I cannot feel anything anymore.
There's no joy, no mood, no emotions, probably just answering for the sake of answering.

I dont like it, in fact, I feel offended.
What's the point of saying you dont want to do it and then calling other pple to do the same thing?
If you dont want to join, please say so.
It's not like I will die knowing that you dont want to do it with our company.

I wasnt that offended at first, but as I sat down to think through the things you said and done, it became rather clear that you were being a little dishonest about the truth.

And what is the truth?
I bet only you know.
You can tell me when you feel like it, but I know you wouldnt, coz we dont feel close enough, or you dont feel close, comfortable or convenient enough to tell.

Things actually turned out pretty nice, maybe I was a little too hasty and ruined things up. That's why things ended up this way. And now, I realised, your equation is very simple.

It's simple math. I should have seen the hidden zero right from the beginning and not assume that the zero would increase day by day to something positive.

It's been a long time since I have last been this moody.

Had a great night out with my colleagues at work at Hol V.
Hahaha...had such a great time and in fact, this is the first time I am seeing one of them get off work so early, though it was a crappy day today with so many amendments...

But it was great...

But first, I need to announce that MY TRUSTY IPOD MINI IS DOWN!!!!
After 3 years!!! Haiz...all my music are sounding like they come from space, can hear the music, but cannot hear the vocals...so sad...

But, it also gives me a reason to get a new ipod...hee..The new iPod nano chromatic is so chio in red!!!!!!!!! And it is cheap! Compared to previously lah...

But but...Should I get a phone which can act as a mp3 player or should I get the 2 gadget seperately???????
Haiz...such a dilemma...
Suggestions and advice please! Need something to convince me!!!!! I cant decide for myself!

Alright, back to work...Been in to several DAMs liao...and I only have to add that being a planner is so much better, at least you only listen to instructions! I was just reading some blogs and I realise that I havent really been updating my blog with my feelings...
This could be a good sign, coz I am not being emotional and not being emotional, means I havent been thinking about unhappy events.
It could also be a bad sign, coz I have no time to be emotional and it also means that I am not thinking.

Everyday I check my work mail when I turn on the computer, more often than I open up my blog to see if there are any tags.
So sad right...haiz..But what to do?
This is life.

Anyway, I reckon i should stop talking about work and make my blog so dull and boring.
I should regain the ranting spirit that I used to portray in my blog.
And like Missy says, I only blog when I am angry.
So the latest culprit that pissed me off.

XX Optical Shop @ Pple's Park Centre
I was looking for a place which can make cheap specs as i just want to get a pair of new specs that is more comfortable when I wear it for long hours, not that my current one is blurred or what.
Because of the fact that there will always be alot of pple when I pass by XX everytime, I kinda assumed that they can do it cheap and good.
Some Singaporean mentality here - Alot of pple/long queue = good or cheap.

And so I went in, and the price was reasonable, so I sat down, trying to look at the designs of the frames, and there the sales girl was bringing up tons and tons of frames for me to see. And she keeps bringing me the ones that look like my current one, assuming that I like this design so much that i would love for my next 10 pairs of specs to look the same. Eh, if I want to look the same, why should I look for another frame? Isnt it better to use back the same one? Save you the trouble of finding another for me.
Anyway,I was looking for something light, her colleague overheard and gave me this super-light frame. And then both she and the other girl(the one who was serving me) giggled. I took that frame and WOW. Damn light! I flipped it around and saw the tag. RAY BAN. Was that why they were giggling? Give them the benefit of doubt, whatever.

So I returned her and said, It's Rayban, I know it cant be cheap.
The she continued taking out like 20 more frames which look similar to the one I wearing. BTH. Already told her I will try to see for myself.
Anw, after like 45mins I decided on a frame, which looks similar(abit smaller), coz dont have other colours and it's damn comfortable. Haha...
I went for the eye TESTS.
First, there was this usual one. The one where you need to look into the hole look at the house at the far end.
The next 2 are very new technologies and quite lame. Maybe it's me who's suaku, but I'd rather they use the traditional method of testing.

The 2nd test was to look into the hole, and focus on dunno what, then there will be this gush of wind blowing right into your eyeballs. Damn irritating.
3rd test was to stare at a cross in the hole and then suddenly there will be this ray of bright light flashing right into your eye. Again, irritating.

Then, you go into the room for the eye test with the optician.
By right, all the lenses should be in the room when you do the test, but XX happily placed some of their lenses outside the test room, so when they are needed, the optician had to spend like 3 mins going out to look for it. Then he test test test, he concluded, "Your right eye hor, cannot sharpen the vision leh. Has it been like that since young?" Well, that's the first time I am hearing this, how do I know?

And when I came out of the room, everyone was happily packing up and getting ready to go. All staring at me, waiting for me to make my payment and go. That was about 910pm. I havent even decided on the shape of the lens, the type of lens. Whatever, so I told the boss how I wanted the shape to be and let them wait lor. By this time, they were already standing outside the shop with half of the gates closed, yes right, still staring at me.

I think I left about 920pm. My mum was explaining their poor attitude to me and she said that I was their last customer and they cant go home since I was still there. So I looked at the time, it was 928pm and i had already reached the car which is some distance from the shop. It meant they had started closing even before the closing time which is 930pm. So I wasnt in the wrong. What's with all the staring then?

Boo...Guess this has taught me to stick with the optician that I always go to.
Still, the ginger is the old the spicy.

I have been busy planning vessels and I have to say, it kills my brain cells sometimes. And things always happen when you are about to knock off!
On National Day this year, I was at work on standby shift. Working hours are supposed to be 0730 to 1730 and at 1600, I assumed I was able to leave the office right on time. And there, at 2030, I left office.
Arghh!

Anw, guess this is the real working life...
So just have to bear with it...hehehe

And I am also hooked onto this series, Gossip Girl.
Thanks to mioTV,if some of you know that I have switched ISP. Using the mioPlan now...
I am watching it day and night!

I love this song...and the music arrangement for this song rocks!!!! Following that was Moon Tooth Bend...Damn good! I love that section of the concert!

But I am regretting for not buying the tickets earlier...haiz...but stilll...not too bad, at least I fulfilled my promise to go for their concert!

4 new OEs

4 new OEs were bored in the office today.
So they decided to venture out to the wharf at about 630pm.
They saw a twistlock in the middle of the road and decided to do something about it.
They stopped by the roadside and one OE ran towards it.
Another OE followed behind.
That's when a PM ran past the twistlock and the lock flew right off the middle of the road, showing us how pple can be killed by a flying twistlock.
The OEs picked the twistlock up and brought it back to the jeep and back to the office.

They then ventured to 郭大侠's area to have a look...
And that's when they saw...

Work's going on fine...but probably coz I havent got the full force yet.

Alright, it's not really big, but just that...it's really a pleasant surprise...

When I was walking towards cwp from the stn, I was thinking about Pingmei in my head, tot of asking her out for dinner, since I havent seen her since our last JC outing about a mth ago...And this girl really quite concerned about my job, coz she's the one who has been messenging me and asking me about how I am coping with the shift work...Thanks! So I was thinking of asking her out for some drinks(but I pushed the tot off coz I promised my darlings I would be back early to acc them today). And that's when.....

I think this is the first time ever that we met in cwp in the past 7 years!!!!

Operations can be quite fun too...haha, just that it is damn stressful..

Anw, was damn tired on Fri, coz I had my night shift on Thurs, which meant I could only knock off at 730am on Fri. Then, at 720am on Fri, I realised I have to go for the COO briefing at 4pm on Fri! Wah piang, MY OFF DAY! Still need to work...Only managed to catch 3hours of sleep lor...
But, the talk was rather helpful in a sense that it really boosts your confidence...
Not too bad lah...
Then went to IMM to meet the busy bee, Lamer18 and not-so-busy bee Lamer02...Haha..Had a great dinner at Fish & Co, though my 'simple pasta' is not very nice and her 'swordfish collar' stinks really really badly...But, it was a great dinner, coz it's free! Hahaha...

Oh, and I know this for very long liao, but still want to say that from the day I stepped into the interview room, my fate had already been decided if I were to be employed...I was either going to be allocated to 'Tpt' or 'Ppt', because the respective TMs interviewed me...hahaha...
Though my terminal has higher expectations and more tasks to handle, but progess are aplenty...Haha, provided I survive there...Hurhur...

Have been too busy and lazy to blog these days...
For the sake of my Ah gai and breadie, who secretly read my blog...
I shall try to blog something for you....

For the whole of next week, i am gonna be on non-shift again...haiz...
Sian, means everyday must wear nice nice go work..cannot slack...and everyday is training...worse! Just when I thought studying days are over...2 3cm ring files waiting for me to go through and I still have a test at the end of my training!
Arghh...But nevertheless, it's rather fun lah...
Just that, no one's in planning except for me...Can be a good thing or a bad things, coz i have seen how things go about in ops, and I dont think I will survive long if I am in ops...too stressed liao, but my mentor did try to lessen the stress for me, by telling me that the most impt thing for the 'dam' is preparation...hahaha, but wait till i go to ops...hurhur, so now, enjoy my days in planning as much as I can...

Oh, and I went to do my 2nd safety survey with my mentor today, he's quite nice...still can tell me got worker 'haolian-ing' his pot belly..hahahaha, quite surprised that he actually said that, coz he's quite a stern looking man..hahaha

Enough about work...
Finally, after 4 years..I got my certificate.

It is hereby certified that KU_NG Y_M_I having satisfied the requirements of the university.....

These words actually mean so much...
Some stirred emotions here and there and on the 21st, it will be a definite closure to this chapter of my life...haiz...
So sad...

The dramas are increasing in Chinese std...usign all the difficult phrases...

The last days...

Haiz..left with a few more days to starting work...really quite sian leh...But what to do...Already in my twenties but still achieved nothing...

Anyway...went KTV with Eric, breadie and huiwen (yes, KTV again...)
Hahaha...it was a fun session...seeing eric dancing to the tunes of 'Love You'...
hahaha...though it didnt get very high...but still, i enjoyed every bit of the company...sometimes...going high isnt definite in a KTV session...Humming to the tunes of familiar songs is...
In fact, it is another day with no blasts...but it is a day to be missed by me...hehehe...been such a long time since i last saw eric...hahahaha

And then to today...Brought Elmo to the vet with Elaine..Hahaha..Havent met this girl for almost a year liao...supposed to meet her at Changi airport for a hug..but then nvr, then supposed to meet at HKIA, also nvr managed to...hahahaha
Anw, she turned into my nanny for the whole afternn, while I looked after my Elmo...trying my best to stop him from doing crazy stunts at the vet, like peeing on the chair, which he usually does..haahha...

Spent the whole day with her catching up on her cats, and my dogs...and learnt something really interesting...I never knew such a rule existed till she told me...woohoo! Knowledgeable Elaine...hahahha

Then we went to Chinatown for Heng Ji Chicken rice!!! YUMMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was an enjoyable day out...Muacks...spend more time together next time...I know you are reading!!! hahahahaha...
Oh, and she managed to get me to use my Disneyland keychain...hahaha...We really is hor...默契十足...go disneyland on diff days, also can get the same keychain as souvenir! hahaha...

The funny thing is the characters did not grow up as much as Harry Potter's...

So pple, if you have the extra cash and want to watch a movie, but dunno what to watch...can watch The Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian...

One last thing...if anyone of you knows, how come at the very end, Peter said that he and Susan will not return to Narnia? Only Lucy and Edmund would?

Hihi..I know I skipped the Vietnam trip, but but...still havent got the time to meet my beautiful and handsome travelmates...so I shall proceed to blog about my fruitful Hk trip first...

Day 1

First and foremost, I need to stress that the flight is at 640am, which means I have to be at the airport at 440am and that means I have to wake at 315am, which is what I did..haha, damn tired lah...but someone was still awake when I sms-ed on that day...hahaha

As usual, my third auntie would send us to the airport, regardless of what time it is...muacks! And then she would drive our car back to her place and park it there till we are back...Under the scrutiny of the security guards of Yishun Sapphire..hahaha...

The first stop was the Espirit outlet located in Mongkok...spent so much time there, then we ventured out to 尖沙嘴...

Of course, the highlight of the trip is to get my Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 lens at a damn cheap price! Haha, but according to my mum, it's enough to buy another camera..wahahaha...but still...I am loving the clarity, sharpness and the aperture...hahaha

Arghh...my mum's convinced that Jolly Shandy is liquor because of that tiny bit of alcohol..0.5% only...booo!

I think at this point in time, I am going there not for the fun, but for the brand, at least to tell myself that I have been to this special place in HK...hahaha
But I have to say, they are damn rich!
They have a dedicated train service and also special trains..LOOK AT THAT!

Argubly the happiest boat ride ever, so happy it almost put my cousin to slp,his favourite activity...wahahhaa...quite boring coz you only see cutesy figures singing the song on REPEAT MODE...so by the end of the ride, the song's not going to get out of your head for the next 1 hour or so...

The day started off beautifully...
But just when we were about to leave, it started pouring really heavily....So heavy, it soaked my jeans throughout...boo, damn heavy lah....
But nevertheless, we still had a great day at HONG KONG DISNEYLAND.

Oh, to add on, they are so rich to have such nice trains, but they dont have money to build a covered walkway from the entrance to the train station, which is about half a km away...BOOO...

Day 5
Lantau Island! Also my first time there!
Had to take this crazy 25mins cable car ride up to the peak, which is damn scary to me...But I still survived!
Anyway, it's really lucky of us to have been there earlier, was watching the news just now and they said that HK is experiencing the worst monsoon ever and that Disneyland and the cable car had to close for the period...wah seh! HENG AR!!!

Day 6
The most relaxing day for us!
But still...we went....SHOPPING!
This time, I went shopping with daddy at Fa Yuen Street...got some cheap buys, which I am really happy with...should have bought more, if I had known earlier about the hidden 500HKD in my wallet...I thought we had no more money!
And we brought almost 10k HKD! HAHAHAHA....
Massive destruction to the pockets!
But that's what happens when you go to HK!
You are not doing justice to yourself if you dont shop!!! WOOHOOO!!!

And that ends my HK trip, meaning I have 2 more weeks to starting work!

I was clearing my wardrobe this morning at ard 3am...
Yup, training for my night shift...wahahaha

And I found some evidence of my childhood,lest my friends say I dont have one...
But of course, all these were when I was older, say about pri sch...hurhur..

When I was in primary sch, Mr Ong and I used to play together alot.
He would come to my house every week or at least fortnightly where we would turn into young entrepreneurs, running a restuarant.

It all started out about 15 hours ago.
Met up with Simin, breadie and Youwen to Broadway(not the one in US..hehe)But the photostudio that we are supposed to rent our academic gowns...
And I am proud to say, I've gotten my academic gown!

我有我的四方帽了！
No time to take pictures of the 3 pieces of stuffs though, so just took a picture of the hood to satisfy those who havent gotten theirs...
This is our hood with the blue and bright green...

All of us, including the 明星， got the photoshoot package.
And and and! I can bring my darlings along for the shoot!! YAY!!!!!

Afterward, we went to Toa Payoh to have a quick lunch before heading to Amk for KTV...hurhur...*eyes brighten at the thought of KTV* Huiling also joined us for KTV.
So ya, sang for 5 hours, and at about 3pm, "Miss earn 3k a month in dreamland" aka "Guise" joined us(you know who you are...hee)...forcing me to sing my tropical rainforest again...hurhur...

It was a damn fantastic session...getting high to the tunes of breadie,明星,Huiling and Guise...FUN FUN FUN...hehehe...Though abit tired by the end...hahahaha.

Then we went to AMK hub for dinner as PIN SI(品食)..Spell also spell wrong...
Food is reasonable, but price wise, abit on the steeper side...hehe, but for the company, still worth it...

And, not wanting to go home so early but cant think of any other place more interesting, me and 明星 decided to go to breadie's house to hang out...wahahaha...
And we ended up watching tv and then playing snake and ladder and Ludo on breadie's 48 games in 1....wahahaha...yup, never hear wrongly...Snakes and ladders! 3 20+ almost graduated adults playing that! Quite amazing though...hehehe
But we decided to stop coz breadie won and we were stil stuck at the bottom end. Ludo was just as bad for us! We couldnt even get one plane out while breadie was happily navigating her planes through the whole place..BOOOOOO!

Ultimately, ended up playing modified 3 persons bridge and it was fun to play too...hehehe...perhaps it still boils down to the company and the environment...hehehe..Muacks!

Really had a great time today..hehehe...Do this more often! Even when we all start work liao! Hehehe...

Anyway, there seems to be a craze for vision correction in MS these days...3 pple I heard have gone for it...and I am rather tempted to do so too! But no $ and guts!!!! hahahaha...Maybe next time...hurhur...

After all that's been said, I am super duper looking forward to Saturday! Coz I am going to HK! And I will be meeting Elaine at the airport!!! Hug you then! Muacks!!!!

一年一度的母亲节又到了！
又是孩子要花钱的时候了！
Hahaha...

Anyway, went to Swensens last night with 3 other aunties and had a great dinner!
They have this package that you order the main dishes and they give you free earthquakes.
So we ordered 8 main courses and we have 2 free Earthquakes.
And for the Giant Earthquake, the flavours were wrong, we didnt even order Choc and Vanilla, but it came, I think they replaced some of our flavours, because I dont even taste butterscortch, so I went to complain to the manager, coz their service was really bad.

WHY?
First, they told my auntie that when this particular group of pple left, we could take their tables, so when they finally left, my auntie went up and then they said, "Sorry, another group is coming, you all still have to wait."
Okay, we waited, then my auntie confirmed the number of pple we have with me, I said 8, then she oops, coz she only told the person 7. At this point, the girl told us we could go over and sit, then we told her, actually it's 8.
Then she told us to wait again. Wait for this other corner, then you all can have the 4 tables...I was quite pissed off, cause first they told us to wait for the previous grp, then now must wait for another group...wait and wait...booo

Second, the service was so slow. And no one came and serve us over at this corner..had to wait do long for them to clear our tables.Almost 10mins. Until my cousin bth, then he went and took the water to refill our cups. Upon seeing this, they still buay paiseh...still nvr serve us...My cousin had to walk twice to refill our cups.

Third, ice cream are supposed to be served only after we finished our food. But when our ice cream came, it's rather obvious that they already prepared it beforehand. Coz about 20% already melted. And then they had to get the flavours wrong.
So this was when I bth,I went to complain to the manager.

And then she sent us another Earthquake, without toppings, coz she interpretated me wrongly, she thought we cant taste the flavours, so she said, easier to taste the flavours without toppings. So, in total, we had 3 Earthquakes! But I am still not appeased! But, what can be done?

Afterwards, we went to cut the Mothers's Day cake.
Woohoo! The famous Emi durian cake!
FANTASTIC! SUPERB!

Filled with Premium D24 durian!
YUM YUM!

It's heavenly!
Hope the mothers enjoyed the cake as much as we do!

Spent quite a big sum on dinner today....
For Mother's Day...boooo....poor kids...
There goes almost half of my monthly allowance!

Wanted to bring mummy to Ma Maison for Japanese Western food, but then the food dont really look good...and I din want to go to Waraku again, so off we went to Sun with Moon..since Missy gave rather good comments the other time...

And really not bad!
But...expensive!

Rainbow Roll is good!
Mojito is good!
Chicken Teriyaki is good!!!!!!!!!

Yum yum! Now mummy wants to go there again!
Ooooops...

Went shopping with shuang today at Orchard...been such a long time since I last went there...
if not for the ink refill, I think I would not be there too...
Yes, I went to Orc to buy a pen refill...coz the neighbourhoods do not sell LAMY ink refills!!!!!!!! Arghhh....Thanks to my GJ sistas who bought me the Lamy pen...no choice...have to go buy the ink...
And then I end up meeting Xiuli, Lishan, Aiwei and Jialing....Haha...such a coincidence...Ended up eating dinner with the 3 missy-es...Hehehe, hope they managed to get their DnD outfits!

Then we went to Tangs, hoping to find the pen, but who knows!!!!!!!!! They dont have...so we have to go to Kinokuniya to buy...arghhhh

And I ended up buying another Lamy!
Hahahaha...nice and simple and cheap for a branded pen!

Then, the climax of the day...
My ultimate business idea!
On our way to meet Theresa, we passed by Chapter 2.
And I thought, it would be quite fun to have something called THE CHAPTER GROUP.
Then the different Chapters would be the different diversities of the business.
For example, Chapter 1 sells books, then Chapter 2 is hair salons, Chapter 3 is cafes,etc...
Then I realised if I have Chapter Group would be using others' name, so I thought of another name The Page Group. Then Page 1 which is also used already...
So The Storey Group! But not very nice...
And finally....The Lou Group, with some oriental feel!
Why?
Cause 一楼，二楼，三楼....
Hahaha...

I am unofficially a graduate of NTU Maritime Studies!
Today marks the end of our FYP presentation though I really have to say I am very put off by some of the qns put forward, it's still the end!
YAY!!!!!

And today also marks the day of the founding of the MSPC!
Hurray!
Maritime Studies Photography Club!

I know I should kinda feel down now that all of us are going to be living our own lives without the company of the fellow MS classmates, but I am sure we are going to keep the MS spirit going strong, by meeting at Vivocity, going for KTVs, going for many many other activities together!
So cheers!!!!

P.S. I will miss the fun MS days!

I was just looking through the songs in my ipod and started feeling nostalgic...
